The Spectacular Central Coast

The sweet light at sunset brushes across the Central Coast. This shot was taken in October, 2008, from the Pirates Cove Parking Lot, just south of Avila Beach. Looking east, visibility is good enough to see not only Shell Beach and Pismo, but also the hills around Nipomo. Looking south we could see the hills leading into Vandenburg AFB.
