Tip of the Day: grab a tide book from one of the local surf shops and keep it in your car or purse.  Spending an hour at low tide down at the beach is a fun treasure hunt to see what you can spot while the water is low.  In November and December tides are at their lowest - the full moon is a good clue to the best days to go.
